Help! My Computer Won’t Stay On After It Suddenly Shut Down

About a month ago, on April 1st (of course), my computer just stopped working while I was using it. The keyboard and mouse lights went out, but the RGB inside the computer stayed lit. When I tried to turn it off with the power button, it didn't respond, so I unplugged it from the surge protector. Now, every time I press the power button, the computer turns on briefly and shuts down again, and it won't power back on unless I press the button again.

I thought it might be the power supply (PSU), so I bought a new one and replaced it, but the issue remains the same. I disconnected a lot of peripherals, including the GPU, to see if that helped, but no luck. The only change came when I unplugged the CPU PWR1-2 connectors; then the computer stayed on, but the keyboard and mouse still didn't turn on, and there was no display.

I'm wondering if I should replace the CPU or the motherboard next to troubleshoot this problem.

Thanks for sharing your specs! Given your situation, I'm leaning towards a motherboard failure. If it’s under warranty, I'd really suggest pushing for support. If you're in the EU, consider contacting a customer protection agency, as they can help you enforce your warranty better.

You've done a lot of good troubleshooting already! If your BIOS reset and other tests didn’t yield results, you might have to look at the motherboard closely. But I’d recommend exhausting all warranty options first since it could save you a lot of hassle and money.

It sounds like the issue could be with your power supply, wall outlet, or surge protector. Since you've ruled out the power supply already, try plugging your computer into a different outlet or using another surge protector to see if that helps it stay on.
