I recently built my first PC and bought a Corsair CX650 power supply, but I'm having trouble with it fitting into my MSI micro ATX case. I've spent hours trying to make it work, but it seems like the case opening is too small. Is there a way to make it fit, or should I just accept that I wasted my money and buy a different power supply?

Honestly, building a PC can be frustrating at first! Just know you're not alone in this. If it doesn't fit, maybe try contacting MSI’s support to see if they have any suggestions or if a PSU of a different size would work better with your case.
You might not be entirely out of options yet! If your case is really the MSI M100A, I’d recommend checking if there are any modular cables that come with your PSU. Those can sometimes help with space issues since you can remove cables that aren’t needed for the build. But, if the PSU is just too big, you may need a new one, so keep that in mind. Good luck!
First off, don't feel too bad! It happens to many first-time builders. Could you share the exact model of your case? That might help figure out if there's any chance of a workaround. Sometimes casings have specific sizes they accommodate, so knowing the model could clarify things.
