I've been using my Corsair K55 keyboard for about a year, and suddenly it's gone haywire. It's spamming random letters and the numlock light is flickering like crazy. Even typing this message sometimes registers as random symbols instead of the keys I'm pressing. I've attempted a few fixes like reinstalling the driver from the device manager and a manual reset (holding FN + F4), but nothing seems to work. I've even included a demonstration of its erratic behavior below:
`|CVXZM>/||cmvxz,.</V|Xzx*,.c/xcm.*vCZ>/x***xv,c**m/`
The keyboard sometimes presses the alt button on its own too. I'm really stuck here! This keyboard really let me down in Dark Souls 3. The issue started after I left my PC running while paused on Half-Life. When I returned, the keyboard was acting all jittery and despite several restarts, the problem persists.

It sounds like you might have some liquid damage or a failing controller chip, especially since it started acting up after being idle. My first suggestion is to unplug the keyboard for about 30 minutes before plugging it back in. But honestly, it might be time for a new keyboard; Corsair's warranty could cover it if you're still within a year.
Your keyboard could simply be worn out or damaged, particularly if you bought it secondhand. But interestingly, if it's working fine on your Linux laptop, the issue might be with your Windows setup. Have you thought about reinstalling Windows? I know Windows 11 can be a hassle.
That’s what I was wondering too! The keyboard works great on Linux, so maybe it is just a Windows thing. I really can’t stand Windows 11 right now.

Thanks for the quick reply! I’ll try that resting trick, but I'm not holding my breath. I doubt Corsair will cover it since I got it secondhand.
