Help! My Dell Inspiron N5010 Won’t Connect to Wi-Fi After Factory Reset

I recently factory reset my Dell Inspiron N5010 laptop because it was acting up. Now, I can't connect to the internet at all. The only option I get is to connect via an ethernet cable. Just earlier that day, my hotspot was working fine with it, so I'm not sure what's changed. Any guidance on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated, and I'm happy to provide more details if needed. Thanks in advance!

I've seen issues where the factory reset can cause problems like this. It might be best to do a clean install of your OS instead of using the built-in reset. However, check your device manager for any devices with a warning sign. They need drivers, and you can usually find these on your laptop's support page.

You might need to connect the laptop to the internet using an ethernet cable temporarily. This will allow you to complete the setup and install any necessary drivers. Have you looked into how to bypass the Windows setup without internet? That could help too.

Make sure you've installed the drivers for your Wi-Fi adapter. After a factory reset, sometimes these drivers get lost, and that could be why you're not seeing available Wi-Fi networks.

I get how frustrating this is—I spent hours trying to look for solutions, too. It's tough when you have the drivers but still can't install them. Make sure you're following the correct steps to install, or look for a guide specific to your laptop model. You got this!
