Help! My Ethernet and WiFi Have Stopped Working on My PC

I'm having a bit of a meltdown here! My Ethernet and WiFi just aren't working on my PC anymore, and frankly, I have no clue what to do. A few days ago, I pressed the reset button on my WiFi router, and now only the power light is on; the 2.4GHz and 5GHz lights are totally dark. I'm not even sure if my PC is connected correctly or if it's an issue with the router. I've got a cable running from the router to my computer, but it's just not connecting. Can anyone help me figure this out?

I’m guessing when you reset your router, it might have lost some configuration. Sometimes, routers might need you to log in again or set up the WiFi name and password from scratch. If you're really stuck, you could check out some online guides or visit a tech store for some assistance.

It’s pretty common for things to go haywire with a reset. Since you're posting from your phone, that's good! It means your internet is working there. Just head to your network settings on the PC and see if your router pops up. If it does, try to reconnect. If it's just not cooperating, Google how to reset network connections for your specific Windows version. If all else fails, taking it to a local repair shop could be a good move!

Yeah, it shows up but still won’t connect. Looks like I might need professional help.

First off, don't worry! It sounds like your router might need a little love. Can you tell me what model it is? If you've reset the router, you'll need to reconnect your PC to it. Check your network settings on the PC to see if your WiFi shows up. If it does, try to reconnect using either the WiFi or the Ethernet cable. If it’s not showing up, the router might need another reset or could be misconfigured. Let me know if you need more steps!

I really have no idea about the model, but I reset it, and now it’s acting weird.

If you have a wireless extender or something similar, it might be acting up after the reset. Make sure everything is connected properly and that the extender is within range of the main router. You can also try unplugging everything and reconnecting it all after a minute to see if it refreshes the connection.
