Help! My First PC Build Won’t Boot

I just finished building my first custom PC, but it's not booting up at all. When I connect the power supply, the RGB lights on the fans and case sometimes flash, but that's about it. It's super late, and I'm feeling pretty stressed out. I really hope I haven't wasted my money on this. I'm not sure how to share images since I'm new to forums like this, but any help would be hugely appreciated!

I had a similar problem with my build where it would turn on immediately without pressing the button. What helped me was updating the BIOS using the Q-Flash Plus feature. Might be worth checking!

Quick question—does the RGB light up as soon as you flip the power supply switch, or do you have to press the power button first?

From experience, when you're feeling frazzled, it’s a good idea to step away for a bit. But make sure to check that the PSU is connected and switched on. Verify that all cables from the PSU to the motherboard are plugged in correctly, especially the CPU and motherboard power cables. Lastly, ensure your power button is connected to the right pins on the motherboard—try shorting the pins with something metal to rule out a broken button.

It sounds like there could be a short somewhere. When you try to power it on, does it turn on for a moment and then shut off?

Hey, if it’s already 3 AM, maybe just take a break and get some sleep. Coming back with a fresh mind might help a lot! You’ll probably spot something that you missed when you're well-rested.

To help narrow it down, could you share your parts list? There could be a range of issues at play, like an outdated motherboard BIOS for your CPU, improperly seated RAM, or loose connections.

Are you sure that your power supply is actually receiving power? Double-check the switch on the PSU; is it turned on? That might explain why the RGB is lighting up!
