I'm having a frustrating problem with a specific game that creates a phantom monitor, making it impossible to play the game. When I launch Battlefield 6, it opens in a window but I can't switch it to full-screen mode without crashing. This issue seems to stem from a second 'Generic PnP monitor' that doesn't actually exist. The catch is, this monitor disappears once I close the game, so I can't change any settings or properties while it's active. Does anyone have a solution to get rid of this phantom monitor?

Have you thought about reinstalling the game? Sometimes that can fix weird glitches like these.
One workaround you might try is to plug in a secondary monitor before starting the game. Once the game is running, you can unplug the second monitor and see if the phantom monitor disappears along with it. Just keep in mind, sometimes it might register the unplugged monitor as still being active, so be cautious!

I tried that, but it counted the plugged-in monitor as the first one and the phantom one as the second, so it didn't really solve the problem.
