I recently had the Windows 11 update forcefully installed, and now I'm experiencing some serious stuttering in my games. My specs include an XFX Radeon 6750 XT, 32GB of RAM, and I'm using an older Samsung SSD with a PCIe 3 motherboard. My CPU is around a Ryzen 4500. Before the update, I played *Need for Speed Unbound* on ultra settings and got around 80 FPS, and more than 120 FPS on medium settings. Now, my FPS isn't technically lower, but the game runs extremely choppy. Dropping to high settings helps slightly, but it's still not smooth. I'm looking for performance tips that go beyond the usual advice like setting power mode to performance or just updating drivers. Any suggestions?

After using DDU, make sure to also reinstall your chipset drivers. Doing this in safe mode is a good idea, and don't forget to include audio components in the reinstall too!
Try using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to completely remove your GPU drivers, then reinstall them. If that doesn't fix the issue, you might want to consider reinstalling Windows altogether.
Have you turned on 'Game Mode' in Windows? Also, disabling Memory Integrity and the Virtual Machine Platform might help reduce stuttering issues a bit.
What update are you talking about exactly? Just curious!
I think the OP means the 24H2 feature update.
