I recently upgraded my GPU from an RTX 3060 to an RTX 4070 Super, and now I'm experiencing crashes in my games after about 15 minutes of gameplay. At first, I thought it might be an issue with my power supply not being sufficient, but I don't think that's the case here.
I've made sure all my graphic drivers are up to date, but I'm unsure if I needed to uninstall my old GPU's drivers before swapping them out. Here are my specs:
- **Motherboard:** Asus Prime H510M-E
- **CPU:** i5-11400F
- **GPU:** RTX 4070 Super
- **RAM:** 2x 16GB DDR4
- **Storage:** 3x 1TB SSD
- **PSU:** Corsair TX750M
- **Monitors:** 2x 27"
I checked the Event Viewer and found an error related to Event ID 153 from nvlddmkm, which indicates that there might be a corrupted installation or a missing component. I'm looking for any advice on what might fix this issue.

Also, check if any overclock settings transferred over if you had them. Make sure you reset your BIOS settings to default. Reseating the GPU and the PCIe cable can help too.
I didn't have any overclocking or custom BIOS settings. I'll try reseating the cables, thanks!
Have you tried doing a full reinstall of your graphics drivers? Sometimes leftover files from the old drivers can cause problems after a GPU swap.
Yeah, once you reinstall the drivers, run something to monitor your GPU temperatures. If it’s overheating, that could definitely be what's causing the crashes.
I'm currently in the process of a clean installation for the drivers.
Regarding the Event Viewer error, it appears that the nvlddmkm error might suggest a corrupted driver installation. If the error specifies an issue related to the device path, you might need to fully uninstall and reinstall the driver and ensure all previous driver remnants are cleared out.
Yeah, I unplugged everything and re-plugged it all, even using a new 8-pin cable, but I still face the same issue.
