I've been dealing with my GPU showing signs of artifacting, which usually gets fixed with a driver update, but this time it's different. I've got persistent horizontal lines on my screen, even when I boot into safe mode. To make matters worse, my PC doesn't recognize the GPU at all in the task manager, and in device manager, I see a yellow caution sign next to my display adapter. I've tried a few things to troubleshoot, but I suspect it might be a hardware issue now. I'd appreciate any advice on potential fixes, whether they're software-related or hardware-related.

You might want to try reapplying thermal paste on your CPU and GPU, plus give your GPU a good cleaning with a fast-drying contact cleaner designed for electronics. Don't forget to clean the PCIe slot on your motherboard too! It might help resolve the issue.
Have you considered returning the GPU under warranty? If it’s giving you this much trouble, it might be time to RMA it and get a replacement.
Yeah, I think I might have to go that route soon.
When you hover over the warning in device manager, what does it say? That can give some clues to troubleshooting.
Sorry for the late reply! It says, "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)."

I appreciate the suggestion, but I’m not super confident in my DIY skills or have the tools for that. Still, thanks for the idea!
