Help! My Graphics Card Isn’t Being Recognized by Windows 10

Hey everyone, thanks for taking the time to read this! I'm having some trouble with my graphic card. I've got Windows 10 up and running, but when I check Device Manager, it shows a yellow warning sign next to the Display Adapter. The properties window says, 'Windows stopped this device because issues were reported (Code 43).' It seems like my system is reverting to the generic drivers for display.

I've tried using the AMD Auto Detect and Driver Installer to get the latest drivers, but they didn't work. I even attempted to roll back to some previous versions and used an uninstaller app to clear things up. I also heard a USB unplugging sound while trying to install the appropriate drivers. Could it be that the graphics card isn't making good contact or isn't getting enough power? I'm curious if I'll need to open up the PC case to check things out. By the way, my graphic card is an AMD Radeon RX 580 2048SP, and my CPU is an AMD Ryzen 5 2400G with Radeon Vega Graphics. It's really frustrating not being able to use it! Thanks for any help you can offer!

Hey there! Just a heads up, the 2400G has integrated graphics, which might be why your dedicated card isn't detected. Make sure your GPU is actually seated properly in the PCIe slot. It could definitely be a power issue too, so check your connections and make sure your PSU is adequate. If everything looks good, you might want to reset your BIOS settings to see if that helps. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip! I'll take a look at the seating and connections for sure.

I appreciate your advice! I'll try checking the BIOS as well.
