I'm having trouble with my hard drive on my PC. It doesn't show up in Explorer anymore, but I can see it in Disk Management as uninitialized and without any volumes. When I try to initialize it, I get a "CRC data error." This hard drive holds some important personal documents, and I'm feeling really stuck since I don't have another drive available. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

This sounds like a bad disk for sure. Have you checked what Crystal Disk Info says about the drive? Also, I’m curious how you're accessing Disk Management if this is your only drive and it’s not working properly?
It sounds like your drive might be failing or dead. I recommend you stop trying to initialize it to avoid overwriting any potential data. You could try reseating the drive or replacing the cable, but if that doesn't work, a data recovery specialist might be your best bet. And for the future, remember the 3-2-1 backup rule: keep three copies of your data on two different drives, plus one in the cloud. That way, a drive failure won't be such a big deal!
