Help! My HP LaserJet Won’t Connect to Wi-Fi After Changing the Cartridge

I've been dealing with this frustrating issue for several hours now. After my old printer cartridge ran out, I bought a new one from Walmart. Ever since, my HP LaserJet won't connect to Wi-Fi as it used to, and I'm getting an error message saying that my account needs attention. I've already tried removing the printer and reinstalling the software, but I'm still getting the same account attention message. HP support wants to charge me $19.99 a month for help, which feels pretty unfair. I'm hoping someone here might have some solutions or tips!

Honestly, you might want to think about switching brands. I've heard a lot of complaints about HP printers, especially with their recent firmware updates that block third-party cartridges. You could consider getting a Brother laser printer; I've been really happy with mine. They're generally reliable and don't come with all these subscription hassles.

I totally agree! I love my Brother printer; it's inexpensive and just works without issues.

That said, Brother is starting to do some restrictions too, so keep an eye on that if you're considering a switch.

I'm with you on that! I've had enough of HP. Time to look for a better option!

Definitely steer clear of aftermarket cartridges—they really aren’t worth the trouble. In the long run, they can lead to issues like your printer rejecting cartridges and neglecting support altogether. It's just not worth the small savings.

Wow, $20 a month for customer service? That's insane! Companies really need to rethink their support strategies.
