I'm struggling with my internet connection and can't figure out what's going on. I have an ISP plan that should give me speeds of 1000 Mbps, but I'm only getting around 43 Mbps download and 17 Mbps upload. My roommate uses the same network via Ethernet and gets the correct speeds, so this seems to be an issue with my setup rather than the service itself.
I suspect it might be related to software after my PC upgraded to Windows 11 recently. Could my LAN or wireless drivers be messed up? I've already downloaded and installed the LAN driver, but it didn't help. The wireless driver installation didn't work out either. I'm also considering reinstalling the BIOS to see if that resolves anything.
I have a new TUF Gaming X570 Plus WiFi motherboard as a replacement for an older one. I've updated the BIOS right after swapping the parts. I've tweaked some settings in the Device Manager for the network adapter but to no avail. Let me know if you need more info to help me out with this!

You might want to check the properties of your Ethernet adapter first. Make sure it's set to 1000 Mbps and not something lower. Also, try disabling WiFi if you're not using it; sometimes, it can interfere.
Just a heads up, altering your BIOS settings can lead to data loss, so make sure your backups are solid before making any changes.
Running multiple antivirus or firewall applications can really slow things down. Check what processes are running; Windows 11 tends to come with a lot of bloatware that can hog your RAM.
Have you tried a new Ethernet cable? Sometimes, that can make a big difference. Also, if you’re using a VPN, it could be causing a bottleneck.
I've checked these, and they're okay. Thanks for the suggestion, though!

I only have the basic Windows firewall and nothing else. My roommate isn't having issues with bloatware, so I'll double-check my RAM usage, but it seems fine.
