Help! My iPad Pro 2 is Stuck in a Boot Loop!

My iPad Pro 2 is stuck in a frustrating boot loop after letting the battery drain completely. It occasionally managed to boot up, but now it just flickers between the Apple logo and a black screen, sometimes showing a bright red flash too. I'm worried it might be a hardware issue. I've tried all the usual solutions—force resets don't work, I've had errors when trying to use iTunes for updates or restores, and even 3uTools gives me trouble. I even jokingly tried tapping it (gently!) just in case that would help. Taking it to an Apple store isn't an option since I'm a broke uni student without one nearby.

The last resort I'm considering is a DFU recovery, but here's the catch: I have a game account tied only to this iPad, and I can't afford to wipe the device. I've invested so much time and money into this game. Interestingly, it has powered on a few times and showed 70% battery, but it dies quickly and I haven't been able to retrieve my account. I'm hoping there's a way to get this thing up and running without a complete wipe!

What game are you referring to? If the app supports Game Center or iCloud, that might help with saving your data. If not, I get how stressful that must be! You might want to check if there's a way to link your game account to a different service before trying a factory reset. That could save your progress.

It's for Identity V, but their login system is pretty bad. It's linked to a social media account rather than a straightforward username and password, which complicates things. I've tried contacting support, but they haven't been helpful. I'm just trying to get the iPad to wake up long enough to transfer my account.

What's the specific error you’re seeing when attempting to restore via iTunes? Sometimes, knowing the error code can help find specific solutions. Have you encountered something like error 9? That usually relates to issues during recovery mode. Just a heads-up; you'll need to keep trying as, sometimes, it might randomly work!

Yeah, it was error 9! I tried using 3uTools for an easy flash, but it always fails at about 18%. I just wish I could get it into recovery mode without the errors.
