I was watching a show on Netflix using my iPad Pro that I bought last July, and suddenly it switched off. I'm not sure what the battery percentage was at the time, but I thought it had enough charge left. After about two hours, I touched the device and it was extremely hot all around. Now, I'm worried about putting it back on charge. Is there anything I can do? It was in an air-conditioned room, away from the sun, and not placed against anything that could cause overheating.

Wow, that sounds pretty alarming! It might be a good idea to let the iPad cool down completely before trying to power it on again or charging it. Heat can sometimes cause some devices to shut off for safety reasons. Keep it away from any covers or stands that could trap heat, just in case. If it doesn't turn on after cooling down, you might need to take it to a service center for help.
Just to clarify, was the iPad plugged in when you noticed the heat? If it was just resting on the cover in an AC room, it shouldn't have overheated like that. It’s odd for an iPad to heat up so much unless there's an internal issue. If it’s still not turning on after a while and you’re out of warranty, try visiting the store and explaining your situation. They might be able to help you out!
Thanks for the reply! It wasn't on charge, just sitting there. I'm really hoping they can help me; it’s just frustrating that it died so suddenly.
