I backed up my iPhone 16 Pro to my computer and proceeded with an OS update on September 15. Unfortunately, the installation failed and my phone was sent to some sort of repair mode. I attempted to wipe it and reinstall the previous version but ran into issues. I've tried different cables and ports, and even updated my Mac Mini to the latest OS since that was suggested online. Despite all my efforts, my phone won't turn on anymore. I contacted Apple Support but they just had me repeat the steps I had already taken. As of now, I'm waiting for a replacement that I was told would be shipped on Monday, but it still hasn't arrived. I've got an in-person appointment on Saturday if the replacement doesn't show up before then. Meanwhile, the only way I can make calls is through my Apple Watch 8, but the battery drains quickly. I'm looking for any suggestions on how to get my phone powered up or functioning again.

Have you tried performing a DFU (Device Firmware Update) restore? This might fix the problem if your phone is stuck in recovery mode.
Could you provide a bit more info on any errors you encountered? Knowing the specifics can really help diagnose what might be going on.
I wish I could, but it won't turn on at all! I did manage to see some early error messages before it shut down, though—something about third-party software. It wouldn't even finish a full restore before dying!
Good luck on Saturday! Just a heads-up, it might be super busy since it's a launch weekend. Be prepared for a long wait if you go to a store.
I opted for an authorized repair place instead. Sadly, it looks completely dead.
I attempted a factory reset and tried to restore from backup, but that didn't work either.
