So, I've run into a serious problem while trying to get back into Fortnite after a long break. It asked me to close a program called Interception, which I use to tweak mouse sensitivity for GTA, but when I tried to do that, things went south. I thought I could just rename mouse.sys and keyboard.sys to avoid uninstalling Interception, but that didn't solve anything. I even messed with TrustedInstaller and accidentally rebooted without checking the drivers. Now, I can't use my keyboard or mouse at all! I've tried different ports and mice, but nothing works in normal mode. They do work in WinRE, though. I tried to access the command prompt there but it's asking for a Microsoft account password, which isn't the one I currently use. I even created a Windows 10 bootable USB to try and fix things. I looked for mouse.sys and keyboard.sys in system32drivers but couldn't find them. I even deleted some filters in the registry in hopes of getting rid of Interception, but the uninstaller won't run from the USB. I really don't want to reset my PC because I have crucial legal documents I need to get to. Any help would be appreciated!

Man, I get your frustration! You seem pretty tech-savvy, but maybe it's time to focus on the basics—like backing up important files to cloud storage. If you're really stuck, you can boot from a Linux live CD to grab those documents. It could also help to try running `sfc` and `dism` commands in the recovery environment. They might help fix some system issues.
Yeah, I realized I should've had better backups. I did try `dism` but not `sfc` yet. Time is tight since my documents are about a landlord dispute and we're looking at court soon.
