I've run into a major issue with my laptop's internet connectivity. I recently installed a program called Portmaster, which I used to block Vanguard and the Riot Games client, but then I uninstalled it. Now, when I boot up my laptop, it connects to Wi-Fi but doesn't have any internet access. My phone is fine, so I know it's not the network itself. I've also heard that Portmaster has had problems with IDM, which I also uninstalled, but my laptop keeps showing errors regarding missing archives when I try to use it. I'm at a loss here, and I really need some help!

Don't forget to check your network settings. Go to Settings > Network & internet > Advanced network settings > More network adapter options. Right-click on your Wi-Fi adapter, select Properties, and then check the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) settings. Make sure your DNS settings are correct. If nothing works, consider doing a network reset from the Start Menu!
It sounds like you're dealing with a DNS issue. If your laptop connects to Wi-Fi but can't load websites, check your IPv4 properties. Go in there and see if a DNS is set that might not be working. If you find one, just clear it out and set it to default to see if that fixes the problem.
Totally agree! You might also want to try resetting the DNS cache. You can open the command prompt and type in 'ipconfig /flushdns', then do 'netsh winsock reset' and 'netsh int ip reset' to reset your network settings.
