Help! My Laptop Screen is Black After Resetting

This morning, I opened my T14s Gen 4 AMD laptop and was greeted with a glitchy screen. Not sure what was causing it, I ended up resetting my laptop by holding down the power button. Now, every time I start it up, I'm met with a black screen. The only way to get it to function properly is to reset it again. Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas on what the issue might be?

It sounds like your GPU might be malfunctioning or there could be a loose internal connection. If your laptop is still under warranty, I'd recommend reaching out to support. It’s possible they can help you diagnose or fix the issue without voiding anything.

Yeah, I definitely need to check if it’s under warranty. What’s the best way to figure out what's wrong?

I will check that! Thanks for the suggestion.

You might be dealing with a faulty wiring harness. These can often cause display issues since they’re moved around a lot more than other components. Try connecting your laptop to a TV with an HDMI cable. If you see an image, it’s likely the wiring harness, but if the screen stays black, you might have a bigger problem on your hands.

Yeah, trying an external monitor is a solid idea. Just be careful with any internal checks since OP mentioned it's still under warranty.
