I've been using my laptop with two external monitors for about two years, where I duplicate the laptop screen on the first external monitor and extend to the second. Recently, something changed, and now I can't duplicate my laptop screen anymore—only expand it. The laptop isn't on the table, so I really rely on the duplication. When I try to use the Windows settings, the screens duplicate for a couple of seconds, but then the second monitor reverts back to extended mode, even if I select to keep the settings. Both external screens are detected and set up correctly, and their resolutions match. I can duplicate the two external monitors without any issue, but I can't get the laptop screen to duplicate. Someone mentioned trying the NVIDIA tool, but it only shows the two external monitors. I haven't changed anything, and I haven't updated recently. What can I do?

Have you tried plugging in just one monitor at a time to see if duplication works that way? Sometimes this can help pinpoint the issue.
You might want to restart the graphics driver. Press Win + Ctrl + Shift + B to reset it and see if that helps resolve the issue.
Check your display settings to make sure everything looks correct. Sometimes reordering the monitors can help refresh the connection. You can also try a different cable or port, just in case it's a hardware issue.
I did try that, but unfortunately, it’s the same story. It duplicates for a second and then switches back to extended.
