I opened my laptop and was met with a full black screen along with a warning that an application couldn't start. I powered it off completely, but now when I try to turn it back on, the monitor doesn't respond. The power button is lit, the fans are running, but the caps lock light is flashing, which seems unusual. I'm not sure what's going on or how to fix this. I've tried turning it off again, closing it, and unplugging it, but nothing seems to work.

Are you sure it's not just in hibernation or sleep mode? Sometimes laptops can be unresponsive in those states, but the lights stay on.
Try holding down the power button for about 20 seconds until all the lights go off. After that, turn it back on to see if it helps. It’s a basic reset that can sometimes fix startup issues.
What laptop model are you using? Sometimes, laptops will flash the caps lock light in a specific pattern that can help identify the issue. Let us know the model for more tailored advice!

I already tried that, but unfortunately, it didn't work.
