Why Is My TPM Update Asking for an Owner Password?

Hey everyone! I'm trying to upgrade my TPM from 1.2 to 2.0, but it's constantly asking for an owner password that I never set. I attempted to clear the TPM using the tpm.msc tool, but after doing that, it just prompts me to set an owner password again. I'm using an HP Elitebook 850 G2 with Windows 11 (version 25H2). Does anyone know how to get past this issue?

Just a heads-up, always back up your data before messing with BIOS settings. It can lead to unexpected data loss.

Instead of trying to clear the TPM through Windows, you might want to do it directly from the BIOS settings. Once you're in there, clear the TPM and then try again to switch to 2.0. That might do the trick!

I tried that, but after restarting, it still asks for the same owner password. It's really frustrating!
