I've been having an issue where the WiFi option has disappeared from the quick settings on my Asus laptop. This isn't the first time my laptop has acted strange, so I figured it would resolve itself after a restart. After about 10 restarts, 3 network resets, and even getting a Windows 11 repair, along with a 2-hour chat with a Microsoft support worker, the WiFi option still isn't showing up. It's not in my settings either, and while I do have an Ethernet option available, I really need to get the WiFi working again as using only Ethernet isn't a long-term solution. Let me know if you need more details!

First, check your BIOS settings because some laptops have an option to disable WiFi there. Also, go to the Device Manager and see if your WiFi adapter is listed or if there's an exclamation mark next to it. If it's missing or shows an error, the adapter might be malfunctioning. If you're comfortable, a look inside the laptop could reveal any loose hardware.
Was this issue right after you installed Windows 11? Try opening Device Manager using Win + R and type 'control.' Make sure to unhide all devices in the View toolbar. Check for warning signs on your Network Adapters. If you haven't already, try redownloading your laptop's drivers as well.
While I was screen-sharing with Microsoft, they tried redownloading the drivers but couldn’t find my specific Asus model. I’ll definitely try again once I sort out my phone’s Ethernet issue.
Head over to Device Manager and select 'View' -> 'Hidden devices.' If you see your WiFi chip listed there, it means Windows isn't detecting it anymore, which could indicate a defect. Another solution might be to unplug the battery if you're able to open the laptop. If that's too complicated, consider getting a USB WiFi adapter for now, even though it's not a permanent fix.
Would the WiFi chip just be labeled as my network under Network Adaptors, or is it something else? I did find a few things after clicking 'Show Hidden Devices.' Also, I’m thinking about getting an adapter or Ethernet cable as a temporary fix.

BIOS settings? Sorry, I don't know much about those.
