I've been having a persistent issue with my Lenovo IdeaPad 3 where it keeps freezing and unexpectedly going black. Despite trying the Shift + Ctrl + Windows + B trick over 50 times, it hasn't helped. The laptop also randomly restarts while I'm working, and during a freeze, the Ctrl + Alt + Delete command and mouse movements become unresponsive. The blackout situation has about a 30% chance of the keyboard shortcut working, but mostly I end up having to power it off and back on. This has been happening for almost a year now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

This might be related to overheating or an issue with the graphics driver's compatibility. Try cleaning out any dust from the laptop vents or using a cooling pad. Also, check for any driver updates specifically for your graphics card and see if that resolves the freezing problems.
It sounds like a frustrating situation! It might help to check if there's a hardware issue, like a faulty hard drive or RAM. Sometimes, a bad connection can cause these freezes too. Make sure all hardware is securely connected. Also, consider running the built-in diagnostic tools from Lenovo if you haven't already; they might detect any underlying problems.
Thanks for the suggestion! I haven't tried the diagnostic tools yet, so I'll give that a go.
I've noticed it does get warm, so cleaning it up might help. I'll look into updating the drivers too!
