Help! My Lenovo Laptop Seems Toast After a Factory Reset

I attempted to factory reset my Lenovo laptop because it was running really slow. However, my settings wouldn't open due to the lagging, so I decided to turn it off. After that, it got stuck on the Windows 11 update screen. About five minutes later, it shut off unexpectedly, even while it was plugged in and charging. Now, every time I try to boot it up, I just see a black screen. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

First off, can you access the BIOS? If you can, that’s a good sign! Also, try connecting your laptop to an external monitor if you have one. I recommend checking if you've done anything else besides just turning it off and on again. Sometimes simple resets can do wonders! Let us know what you find out.

I can see the Lenovo logo at boot, but then it goes black. I used the advanced options menu and I'm working on fixing it right now.

If you can enter the BIOS and everything seems normal there, it’s likely that Windows is the issue and you'll need to reinstall it from a USB. If you can't access BIOS, it could indicate a hardware fault or something more severe. Have you tried doing a hard reset yet?

Good news! I just accessed the advanced screen. It turns out I have some ransom locker issue on my laptop, but I'm currently factory resetting it, so hopefully that’ll resolve it.
