Help! My Linux Internet Connection Just Stopped Working

Hey everyone, I'm fairly new to using Linux and I could really use some help. Recently, I took my computer to a repair shop to fix a crashing issue, and they ended up updating my BIOS. Ever since I got it back, Windows auto-logged into the admin account instead of mine, and Linux has been super sluggish, especially during boot, plus I was stuck with a really low resolution. I managed to resolve those problems, but now my internet on Linux has suddenly stopped working, while it still works fine on Windows.

Here's what I've figured out: I have three different kernels available for Ubuntu, and I suspect the one I'm currently using isn't recognizing my Wi-Fi driver. Here are the kernels:

1. Ubuntu Linux 6.14.0-34-generic (also had slow boot and resolution issues)
2. Ubuntu Linux 6.14.0-35-generic
3. Ubuntu Linux 6.14.0-36-generic (the one without Wi-Fi)

My Wi-Fi adapter is the "Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX210." Can anyone help me troubleshoot this issue? I would really appreciate any insights. Thanks in advance!

You could also test using an older kernel. To do this, hold Shift when booting to access the Grub menu, then select 'Advanced options' and try booting with an older version like 6.14.0-34. That might get your system working again.

It might be a regression issue due to the kernel update. It’s fairly common for newer kernels to have compatibility problems with certain hardware. You might want to check if there's a known issue with the kernel version you're using.

How can I fix that? Is there a way to revert the kernel or do something else?

Try powering off your computer completely and then booting directly into Linux. Sometimes, BIOS settings like 'fast boot' can cause issues when switching between Windows and Linux. Make sure you're doing a full shutdown instead of a reboot.

I gave that a shot, but unfortunately, it still doesn’t detect my Wi-Fi driver.
