I've been dealing with several problems on my MacBook Air, and I'm starting to get worried. I've already tried restarting it multiple times, but the issues persist. Here's what's going on:
- The brightness and keyboard buttons aren't working, and the slider for brightness is missing in settings.
- I often end up with a black screen after restarting, where I can only see the mouse; it takes a couple of restarts to get it back to normal.
- I see flashes of text on the top left when I search on Google.
- Sometimes I'll get a pink screen flash right after restarting.
- The audio doesn't always work, and I experience the annoying "beach ball" cursor while browsing.
- Recently, when I click icons, they stay dark longer than usual, and my play/pause buttons seem switched; like when I hit play on a YouTube video, it shows the pause icon instead.
- My audio randomly stops working now and then too.
I'm not planning to return it, and I don't have Apple Care. I do have a Juaupepo cover, but I know cases can sometimes cause issues. Is there a way to troubleshoot or fix this?

It sounds like your MacBook might be having some serious hardware problems, especially with multiple issues showing up. The best advice I can give is to take it in for a check-up at an Apple store. Just out of curiosity, what year and model is your MacBook?

Is it just me, or does it feel like every answer is just 'go return it' or 'get Apple Care'? What model is your MacBook anyway?
