Looking to Build My First Gaming PC – Need Guidance!

I'm trying to transition from console gaming to PC gaming, and I need some help! My grandfather often asks me for basic tech support, which I find easy, but when I look at gaming PCs, I feel just as lost as he does. I play games like Battlefield 6 and Forza Horizon on my Xbox Series X, and now I want to dive into the PC gaming world. I have some grown-up money saved up, but I can't drop it all at once. Here's where I struggle: What should I do? Should I buy a prebuilt PC and then upgrade it later, or should I buy a case and piece together my parts? What should I look for in terms of Intel vs. AMD or i7 vs. ultra 9? How many graphics cards do I need, and what's the appropriate wattage for the power supply? Any insights would be appreciated!

Check out PCPartPicker; it's an excellent resource for picking parts and checking compatibility. It can even estimate the wattage you’ll need based on your build, making the power supply selection a lot easier. Good luck on your PC journey!

Thanks for that tip! Quick question, though: if I go the DIY route, do components usually come with all the necessary attachments like cables and screws, or will I need to buy those separately?
