Help! My Monitor Shows a Black Screen with ‘Check Signal’ Message

I'm having issues with my LG Flatron monitor, which is connected via a VGA cable. Every time I turn on my PC, I get a black screen with a message saying 'Check Signal.' Initially, I thought it might be a power issue since the monitor is quite old, but I've tested it on three different PCs, and they all work fine with other monitors. I've also replaced the VGA cable and tried adjusting the screen resolution, but I'm still facing the same problem. I'm considering taking it to a repair shop if I can't figure this out on my own.

Unfortunately, this monitor only supports VGA connections, so switching to HDMI won't work here. It sounds like it could be an issue with the monitor itself if it’s showing the same error on multiple PCs.

Have you tried connecting it to a different port or using another monitor just to rule out any hardware issues on the PC side? Sometimes, those old monitors can be finicky, but it's worth checking all the options.
