I'm having a tough time getting my monitor to display anything from my newly built computer. This is my first build, and I followed the instructions closely, but I suspect my graphics card might be positioned incorrectly. I'm using a PNY GeForce RTX 5070, and while it lights up, nothing shows on the monitor. I've tried switching the HDMI cables around, but still no luck. I'm connected to an ASUS Prime series motherboard with an Intel 9 processor. Can anyone help me out?

Make sure your monitor is connected to the graphics card and not the motherboard itself. There should be a group of HDMI and DisplayPort inputs on the graphics card. You’ll find them near the bottom back of your PC. That’s where you need to plug your monitor in! Let me know if that works for you.
Yeah, brand new monitors can sometimes be finicky. If you've tried both the graphics and motherboard outputs and nothing works, it might be worth testing the monitor with another device, like a laptop, to see if the monitor itself is functioning properly.
I understand it's frustrating! Since you mentioned switching the HDMI cables, try checking if your monitor is set to the correct input source. Sometimes it auto-selects, but you might need to toggle between inputs using the monitor's menu. And also, ensure that everything from the GPU is seated correctly. It can be tricky on first builds!
