I'm having a frustrating issue where my mouse disconnects during gameplay, particularly in Valorant. I have a Ryzen 5 7600X CPU, an NVIDIA 5070 GPU, a B650 Eagle AX motherboard, and 32GB of 6400 RAM. The mouse freezes and then re-establishes connection without any sound, which makes it even more puzzling. I've tried troubleshooting all sorts of things and I'm starting to consider buying a new motherboard. On top of that, I've noticed that half of my USB ports don't work when I try connecting my mouse. I'm really stumped as to what the root cause might be.

Have you tried using your mouse on a different computer? That can help you rule out whether the issue is with the mouse itself or your system.
Check your device manager! Look for the USB root hubs and uncheck any settings that allow them to turn off to save power. You should also do the same for all USB input devices.
I've already checked that and adjusted the settings, but the issue persists.
Is it possible that your entire game or PC is freezing, or is it strictly just the mouse losing control?
It's definitely just the mouse that's losing control for a few seconds, not the whole game.

I did test another mouse and it still disconnects, so I think it's likely a motherboard issue.
