I'm a first-time builder and I'm having a tough time with my new PC setup. Here's my specs:
- **CPU:** Intel i5 6500 from a Lenovo ThinkCentre m910s
- **Motherboard:** AsRock B250m-hdv
- **GPU:** Aorus GeForce GTX1080
- **M2 SSD:** Also from Lenovo ThinkCentre m910s
- **RAM:** DDR4 2x8GB 2400MHz (again, taken from Lenovo m910s)
When I power on the PC, I don't get any display, and my motherboard emits three short beeps continuously. I've read that this indicates a memory issue, so I've reseated the RAM and tried each stick separately, but there's still no change. Do you think the RAM might not be compatible? Or could it be another issue, possibly with the CPU? Everything else seems to start up fine—the fans are running, and the lights on the GPU and M2 are on. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try this: If your CPU has an integrated GPU (iGPU), plug your monitor into the HDMI port on the motherboard instead of the GPU. Also, have a look at your manual for steps to reset the BIOS. If that doesn't help, you might want to check some videos on assembling RAM to make sure you seated it correctly—it can take a bit of force sometimes! If that's all good, we're still not sure about the RAM issues.
It sounds like the GPU might be the problem. Just because the light is on doesn’t mean it’s properly connected. I’d check the GPU connection and ensure everything's snug. Your RAM seems fine, though!

I reset the BIOS by removing the CMOS battery for 5 minutes, and I checked the RAM seating again. Unfortunately, it didn't resolve the issue. Do you think I should just go ahead and get new RAM?
