Help! My new PC keeps crashing during gaming

Hey everyone! This is my first post here, and I'm diving into the PC building world. A good friend helped me pick out the parts and assemble my very first PC, but I'm running into a serious issue. Every time I try to play a game, the CPU temperature skyrockets to 86°C, eventually causing the system to overheat and shut down. This has happened multiple times regardless of the game I'm playing. I've got a link to my PC parts on PCPartPicker if that would be helpful. Just so you know, the fans are located at the bottom of the case, and it's raised 6 inches off my desk. Interestingly, the bottom, top, and sides of the case don't feel hot when the shutdowns occur. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Hey! Can you share some pics of your setup? That temperature isn't great, but normally it should just throttle instead of shutting down completely, so I think there might be something else going on here.
