Hey everyone! I recently built a PC with a friend who lives far away, and we're having some serious booting issues. The setup includes an Asus B550+ motherboard, a Ryzen 7 5700X (no integrated graphics), and an RX 7600XT GPU, powered by a Seasonic Core GX 650W PSU. We double-checked all connections and the PSU fan is running, but the PC just won't boot. The CPU fan spins and the motherboard and GPU light up, but the case fans are dead, and we're not seeing any "troubleshoot" lights near the 24-pin cable. We've done a lot of troubleshooting: tested another PSU, reseated the CPU and cooler, tried all RAM slots (no beeps or response when no RAM is present), updated the BIOS, reset the CMOS by pulling the battery, and confirmed all cables are plugged in correctly. We're at a standstill and suspect the motherboard might be defective. Unfortunately, my friend can't easily access a shop in Japan to test another board or CPU. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Make sure your CPU fan is plugged into the right header; otherwise, it might not know the CPU’s cooling status. Also, sometimes the RAM stick placement can be tricky, so double-check if it’s seated properly. There’s a chance the Ryzen 7 could be installed wrong too—definitely check for bent pins. But since you’ve done a lot already, it might just be a faulty motherboard. One last thing to try is to pull everything out of the case and set it up on the motherboard box to see if it boots there. If it does, it could be a grounding issue in the case. Good luck!
Could you give us more details about the boot problem? Are you getting any video output, beeps, or error messages? It sounds like the HDMI might be connected to the motherboard instead of the GPU, which wouldn't work since your CPU has no integrated graphics. If you've checked everything and it's still a no-go, then the motherboard might indeed be the issue.
