Help! My New PC Won’t Post and the CPU Light is On

I'm really struggling with my new PC build and could use some help. My motherboard's CPU light is on, and I'm unable to get it to post at all. I've double-checked all my components for compatibility using PC Parts Picker before starting the build. Here's what I've done so far: re-installed the CPU, flashed the BIOS, reset the CMOS, and even removed the extra graphics card and RAM, leaving just one stick in. Despite all that, I'm still stuck. I'm starting to wonder if the SSD might be causing the issue. Just so you know, I'm fairly new to building PCs, so I might have overlooked something important. Here's my setup in case it helps:
- Motherboard: MSI AMD B550 Gen 3
- CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
- Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200 RPM
- SSD: PNY CS900 1TB (I have two of these)
- Power Supply: Thermaltake GF1 750W
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB
- Graphics Card: GTX 1080
I'm really hoping to get this working so I can enjoy the Oblivion Remaster!

It sounds like you’ve covered a lot of ground already. Just to clarify, when you said you flashed the BIOS, did you actually update it to the latest version? It’s crucial to have the right version for your motherboard, otherwise, the CPU error light could persist. If it's already updated, but you’re still facing issues, I'd recommend trying to re-flash the BIOS again with a fresh download – sometimes the first attempt can fail without obvious signs. Additionally, make sure the BIOS file name is exactly as required for your motherboard, as any mistakes there could prevent recognition.

Yes, I updated the BIOS with the latest version and hit the flash button. The light blinked, but the CPU error light is still on. Good to know about renaming the file, I'll check if that might help!
