Help! My New PC Won’t Post—What Could Be Wrong?

I recently built a new PC, but I'm running into some serious issues—it's not posting at all. While the case fans, AIO fans, and GPU fans start up, the PSU fan doesn't spin, and there are no other sounds apart from the fans. The USB ports seem to work, but my keyboard and mouse don't power on when plugged in. I can't access the BIOS because the hotkeys won't work without functional peripherals. The power button turns the PC on, but it won't turn off, and the reset button is unresponsive too. The RGB lights don't activate either, but I think that's normal since they flash briefly when powering on the PSU. I've yet to install Windows, and here are my components:

- **CPU:** 5600x (from previous PC)
- **Motherboard:** Gigabyte B550M (new)
- **RAM:** 16GB DDR4 Fury (from previous PC)
- **PSU:** 850W Corsair RM850e (new)
- **Case:** Lian Li 7100 (new)
- **SSD:** 512GB Samsung PM961 NVMe (used)
- **HDD:** Seagate Barracuda 2TB (from previous PC)
- **GPU:** XFX Radeon 9060XT

So far, I've tried starting with just one RAM stick, reseating all cables, checking for bent pins on the motherboard, and ensuring that all connections are secure. I have a DisplayPort and an HDMI cable plugged into the GPU, so I don't think it's a connection issue. I'm at a loss about what might be causing this and would appreciate any advice, especially since it might be a BIOS issue, but I can't access it right now.

It sounds like you might have a power issue. If the PSU fans aren't spinning, there could be something off with the power supply itself, even if other components are getting power. I'd recommend trying a different PSU if you can, just to rule that out as a problem. Something simple like switching back to the 650W you had from your old build could help check if that's the root cause.

If you're up for it, you should try flashing the latest BIOS as a possible fix. Make sure to download the correct BIOS update for your specific motherboard version and follow the instructions. Just keep in mind it may not work if the board isn’t POSTing at all, but it’s worth a shot!

Don't worry too much! First, make sure you're using the correct model for your motherboard. The Gigabyte B550M has different versions. If your specific model is the Gaming X, check that manual for any post troubleshooting tips. It's essential to confirm everything's connected as it should be.
