I've got a new PC, and I'm having this weird issue where all audio—whether it's system sounds, movies, or anything else—comes blaring out of my microphone instead of my speakers or headset. I've tried a bunch of things already:
- Reinstalled the Realtek audio drivers.
- Moved to a Linux OS to see if it was an OS issue (but it was still there).
- Swapped out different headsets, yet the problem persists across all of them.
- Used the audio ports on the back of the PC, and while it does get a bit quieter, the issue is still present.
- The good news is that when I plug in a USB headset, everything works fine.
I also saw some advice suggesting I check the Realtek HD audio manager, but I can't find it in my program files. Any help or tips would be super appreciated! Thanks!

Have you tried checking the audio settings in your system tray? You can click on the speaker icon and see if you can select a different audio output device. It might just be set to the wrong one!
It sounds like your computer might be mixing up the audio outputs. Since you're having this issue only with the headset, maybe look into the audio settings directly in the sound control panel. Sometimes, toggling settings can help reset things. Also, about the Realtek HD audio manager you mentioned, if it's not in your program files, you might need to reinstall the Realtek drivers again or check their website for the latest version. That might bring it back!
Yeah, I can select different devices, but I really want to get my headset to work for both audio and the mic like it did on my old PC.
