Help! My PC Black Screened After Updating Graphics Drivers

I recently deleted and reinstalled the software for my Geforce RTX 2080 graphics card. I read that removing and reinstalling my drivers might help, so I downloaded the latest version from Nvidia's site. However, now my PC is stuck with a black screen when I turn it on. The only way I can access it is through safe mode, but that doesn't really help. My monitor is also displaying incorrectly, defaulting to a width of 800 pixels instead of 2560, which is what it's supposed to be. I'm out of ideas and have been troubleshooting for hours. Could anyone offer some guidance on how to fix this?

One thing you can try is downloading DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and running it in safe mode. This tool will wipe out any leftover traces of graphics drivers. Once you do that, install the driver that DDU recommends for your card, and see if that resolves the issue.

That worked for me too! After using DDU, do you think I should go with the latest Nvidia drivers, or would it be better to try an older version that's more stable?
