Help! My PC Boots to a Black Screen After Driver Update

I recently made the switch from console gaming to PC, and I got a prebuilt machine from ABS. Everything was fine until I updated my graphics driver—I'm not sure if it was the right one. After the update, the system froze while I was using the browser, and then my screen started to darken. I attempted to reset the PC, but now it only boots to a black screen. I'm completely stuck and would really appreciate any advice.

What operating system are you using? Also, which driver did you update? If you're on Windows, you might be able to boot into safe mode to reinstall the correct driver.

When the PC boots, do you see anything at all? If not, it might be worth trying a different monitor or cable to eliminate potential issues there.

Don't worry! If your OS is Windows, just make sure you’re trying to boot into safe mode. It's tricky, but you can do it even if the screen is black. Just keep pressing F8 right after powering on your PC—this might help you access that mode.
