I've recently upgraded my PC, and after the upgrade, I started experiencing some serious issues. My old setup had a Ryzen 5 3600X with a 730GT and 8GB of RAM. I upgraded to a new GPU, the 4070 Super PNY, and boosted my RAM to 32GB. Initially, everything was fine until one day, my power cut out suddenly. After a couple of restarts, my PC got stuck in a boot loop. I suspected my Windows 10 installation might be corrupted, so I reinstalled it using a bootable USB.
After setting everything back up, I tried to update my NVIDIA drivers, but I hit a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) every time, which led to more boot loops. I even got a new SATA SSD to reinstall Windows, but I still faced the same crash when trying to install the GPU driver through Device Manager. I even replaced my power supply with a new CoolerMaster 850W Gold Modular, yet the installation issues persisted. Now, I'm left wondering if my new RAM might be causing the problems. I'm really at a loss here and would appreciate any insights!

One thing you could try is testing each stick of RAM individually. Sometimes, a single faulty stick can cause all sorts of issues. Just run your PC with one stick at a time and see if that changes anything.
It sounds like your GPU driver might be clashing with something in Windows. When you install the NVIDIA driver, it’s essential for it to communicate with your GPU properly. Since this happens right after installing the driver, maybe testing the GPU on another PC could help determine if it’s faulty. Also, did you catch what the BSOD error message said? That info can be crucial for diagnosing the issue.
The BSOD goes away way too fast for me to catch it. But could the GPU still be faulty if it works fine with 1080p displays?

I'll give that a shot, thanks for the tip!
