Hey everyone! I was playing StarCraft after a long break and everything was going fine until the game froze. My PC started making this loud, weird sound, and I couldn't do anything to restart it, not even using the power button, so I had to pull the power cable. After I powered it back on, the monitor didn't respond at all. The normal hum from the computer is quieter, but I can still tell it's on. I tried rebooting several times and reconnected/disconnected all cables. Interestingly, when I pulled out the HDMI from the monitor, it said it would go into power saving mode in five minutes. Plugging the HDMI back in got rid of that message, so I doubt it's a cable problem. I have a relatively new AMD Ryzen 9 CPU (I've heard it's not super stable), along with an AMD Radeon 5600XT GPU, which is a bit older but still good. I can't remember the motherboard model off the top of my head, but I'm planning to upgrade it soon. My RAM is 16GB DDR4 3200. I also tried connecting a different monitor, but no luck there either. Any thoughts on what could be wrong?

It sounds like your power supply might have failed. That's a common issue when things like this happen during gaming, especially if it froze suddenly. It's worth checking if you can test the power supply with another one, just to rule it out.
I mean more like the internal power supply unit in your PC. If the power supply fails, it can cause the whole system to freeze like that.
Are you saying the power supply could be the problem? Wouldn’t the power cable itself need checking first?
