I recently moved to a new house and set up my PC again. Before the move, everything was running smoothly. Now, my new room is a bit detached from the main house where the router is, so I connected my PC using an ethernet cable, which shows it's connected in the settings. At first, I thought there might be a wifi issue, but internet browsing and speed tests come back great. The real problem starts when I try to open games or apps. For instance, Discord takes around 10 minutes to open, displaying 'Checking for updates' for a long time. Roblox and other games won't even start. I attempted to download new drivers, but it shows '0gb/s' and won't complete the download. I've restarted a few times and tried to update Windows, but no luck. What could be going on?

Maybe disconnect the ethernet cable and try connecting via Wi-Fi using a phone hotspot. That way, you can rule out any potential issues with your internet connection or router.
Could the ethernet cable be old or unshielded? That might be causing some connection issues. It sounds like it could be related to the cable rather than your PC.
Did you take apart your PC at all during the move? Just curious how you transported it. If it was a quick drive and you kept it safe, it shouldn’t be a hardware issue, but it’s worth checking.
Have you tried running a simple website-based network test? Also, use the ping command with the '-t' option in your command prompt to check the connection stability over time. That can help you see if there are any drops in your connection.

I didn't disassemble it! It was a short 40-minute drive, and I had it secured in my passenger seat.
