Help! My PC is Randomly Restarting with BSODs – Need Advice

I've been having a lot of trouble with my prebuilt PC lately. It keeps randomly restarting, especially while idling, but it's fine when I'm playing games. I often get Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) errors, including IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, ATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READONLYMEMORY, DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION, and others, along with some WHEA logger errors. I've also experienced a bugcheck error 1001 and can share minidumps if needed.

Here's what I've done to troubleshoot so far: I've updated all drivers, the BIOS, and even reinstalled Windows, which only helped for a short while. I tried downgrading RAM speed, swapping RAM sticks, changing GPU cables, and cleaning out dust. I reseated the SSD because it wasn't installed properly, and the temperatures for my CPU and GPU seem okay.

The only thing I haven't tried yet is reseating the CPU and replacing the thermal paste since it hasn't been changed in about two years. Here are my system specs:
- Case: MSI MAG VAMPIRIC 010
- CPU: AMD RYZEN 5 3600
- RAM: Kingston FURY 32GB DDR4 3200MHz
- GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3070
- SSD/HDD details as listed.

I'm really desperate for a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I think you're on the right track, but as you mentioned, these errors could be due to a faulty core in your Ryzen 3000 series CPU. Have you tried using Ryzen Master to disable the cores that might be causing issues? Many have had success with this workaround. Just keep in mind that if you notice crashes returning, it could be because Ryzen Master was removed or Windows was reinstalled without those cores disabled.

Thanks for the tip! I've downloaded Ryzen Master, and I'll try disabling those cores. I'll keep you posted on whether it helps.

It's good that you've done a lot of troubleshooting already. Make sure to also check your power supply. Sometimes, a failing PSU can cause random restarts, especially under low load. If possible, try using a different PSU to see if it makes a difference. Also, I'd recommend pulling any unnecessary hardware while testing, to isolate the issue further.

I haven't checked the PSU yet, but that's a good idea. I'll see if I can get my hands on a different one to test.

Definitely worth a shot. Good luck!
