Hey folks, I've got a gaming PC that I built about a year and a half ago, and it was running great until a month or two back. I usually play most games at 2K resolution with 144 FPS without issues, but I've started experiencing more crashes and significant frame drops to around 70-80 FPS every few seconds. My temperatures sit in the lower to mid 80s while gaming, hitting around 90 occasionally. I've cleaned the dust out, checked all connections, and reapplied thermal paste. Given that my CPU runs hot, those temps don't seem too surprising, but I'm unsure why I'm facing these performance hiccups. Any ideas on what could be going wrong? Thanks for any help!

It sounds like your cooling might be the culprit here. A 360mm AIO cooler should keep your i7-14700K in the 60-70s under load, so temperatures in the 80s could indicate a problem. Since you’ve already checked your connections and thermal paste, I suspect there might be an issue with the pump itself, possibly not working properly.

After reading your comment, I tried listening for the pump, and it does seem like it might be failing.
