I've received a couple of emails that appear to come from my own account, labeled as "Personal Note." They seem to be phishing attempts, claiming I have a document to sign through a service that resembles DocuSign. The links in the email redirect through multiple URLs before leading to a verification page. I've done a thorough scan of my computer for malware, checked for logged-in devices, and looked at my email's login activity, but everything seems normal. I'm using Office365/Outlook for my email. I'm not very tech-savvy regarding malware—could it be possible that someone hijacked my email session? I appreciate any insights!

It sounds like your email hasn't actually been hacked but rather spoofed, which is pretty common. People can send emails that look like they're from your address without needing access to your account. You should definitely check your Sent folder and look for any weird logins. If those emails aren’t there and your login activity looks good, you’re probably safe. Still, it's smart to change your password and enable two-factor authentication just to be cautious. Those DocuSign-style messages are classic phishing tactics.
Absolutely, spoofing is quite common, so you might not be compromised at all. If you haven’t found anything in your Sent folder and there aren't any unfamiliar logins, it’s a good sign. Just to be safe, reset your password, log out of all active sessions, and make sure you have two-factor authentication turned on. The emails you received are likely just phishing attempts, trying to trick you into clicking through.
Don't stress too much—this is a typical phishing scam. Spoofing is trivial, and it sounds like that's what's happening here. You can verify this by checking if those emails are in your Sent folder. If they're not, then your account is likely intact. Just stay alert, and if something feels off, take the precautionary steps like changing your password.

Thanks for the reassurance! I checked and you're right; the emails aren't in my Sent folder. I appreciate the tips!
