I've recently reinstalled Windows from a USB stick, thinking it would fix my ongoing issue, but I'm back to square one. Here's the scoop: After a normal shutdown to apply Windows updates, I found my PC stuck on a black screen the next day, and no matter what I tried, it wouldn't boot properly. I reset my BIOS and even disabled secure boot but still had no luck. The weird part is, if I shut down normally, the PC boots fine, but any attempt to restart leads back to that black screen. I thought maybe it was a corrupt Windows issue, so I wiped everything clean and reinstalled, but today, after clicking restart for another update, it black screened again. My hardware was swapped out a few weeks prior (new motherboard, CPU, and RAM), but everything seemed fine before these updates. Could this issue stem from Windows updates, or is there something wrong with my hardware?

Have you checked your BIOS settings? Make sure the boot order is correct. Sometimes, having multiple drives can confuse the system on boot. You mentioned disabling a problematic HDD, which is smart. It might be worth double-checking that only your SSD is set as the primary boot option. Just seems strange this all started with the updates.
Yeah, I only have the M.2 SSD set as the boot option now, and the others don't even show up in the list anymore. I still think it's odd that the restart issue popped up right when the updates began.
