My brother's PC keeps shutting down and restarting unexpectedly. After it boots up, he's faced with an error related to c:WINDOWSsystem32logfilessrtsttrail.txt. He has already updated the BIOS and tried restoring the factory settings, but the problem persists. He searched online for solutions, but nothing has worked so far. Any ideas?

It sounds like your brother's system is running into some serious stability issues. The factory reset option can be quite problematic and often doesn't help—it's usually better to go for a clean install of Windows instead. The error he's seeing suggests that the system has been struggling to revert to a stable state multiple times, which is not a good sign.
Is it safe to say the PC is pretty much done for, or can a simple Windows reinstall fix it? I mean, it’s worth trying a clean install if all else fails. There might still be hope!
