Hey everyone, I've been struggling with my PC's performance for the past few years, and I'm turning to Reddit for some advice. Despite having a decent setup—I'm running a 4070 GPU, an i5 13600KF CPU, a 1000W power supply, 64GB of 3600MHz Corsair RAM, and a B760 DDR4 motherboard—I'm getting under 60 FPS in the Battlefield 6 beta, and it's really frustrating.
I've noticed that my FPS is consistently lower than my friends, who have comparable PCs. I initially blamed my old 550W power supply for throttling, so I upgraded to the 1000W one, but that didn't help at all.
I've watched numerous YouTube tutorials and scoured Reddit for BIOS tweaks, Nvidia settings adjustments, Microsoft optimizations, and game tweaks. I even tried overclocking with MSI Afterburner but to no avail. For context, I can get 130-150 FPS on medium settings in Warframe, while Battlefield 6 beta barely creeps up to 47 FPS on low settings. Games like BO3, League of Legends, WoW Classic, and Counter-Strike run smoothly at 120-150 FPS.
I've poured a lot of money into this PC, which I got for free from a friend four years ago, but I'm close to just selling it and starting fresh if I can't resolve this. I'm hoping I'm just overlooking something simple like XMP profiles or hardware acceleration. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
*Edit*: I'm using a 244Hz Viewsonic monitor at 1080p.

That performance doesn’t line up with what it should be! What resolution are you running? Sometimes settings might conflict with the monitor's capabilities.
Keep in mind that Battlefield 6 is currently missing DLSS, which is likely contributing to your low performance. The devs are working on a fix, but in the meantime, you might want to look for a workaround.
Have you checked your temperatures while gaming? Make sure your CPU isn’t throttling due to heat. Also, what builds are your friends using that you think are inferior to yours? That might shed some light on this.
My friends are using AMD builds that are a bit older, and they seem to perform better. My GPU stays cool at around 50-60°C, but my CPU hits about 75-87°C under load.

I'm gaming at 1080p.
