I've been having a serious overheating issue with my PC. Recently, it jumps to 100°C just a few minutes after starting a game, while it stays around 50°C during normal use. I've already swapped out the thermal paste (though I'm not confident in its quality since it was the only one I had), replaced the CPU cooler, reinstalled Windows, and set the CPU cooler to maximum in the BIOS, but nothing seems to work. I'm really at a loss here. Here are my specs:
- i5 10600k
- B460M Aorus Elite
- 16GB RAM
- RX 6600
- 550W power supply.
Any suggestions on what else I can try?

Honestly, I think you should consider getting a different CPU cooler. It might not be doing its job well.
What CPU cooler are you using? That could be a big factor in your temperatures.
Make sure you have enough case fans. You should really aim for at least 2 intake and 1 outtake. What’s your current setup for fans?
I’ve got 5 case fans in total: 2 at the top, 1 at the back, and 2 at the bottom, with a glass front panel.

I’m using a REVENGER - G-VR348 now, but I previously had a Gamemax Gamma 200. The Gamma had been running fine for a year.
